About Us

Who is Starr Guitars?

In 2007 we set out, intending to be a full-service guitar shop fixing, restoring, maintaining and custom building guitars and basses. We quickly developed a niche in the finishing/painting of vintage-inspired guitars and basses. So, we decided to focus our attention on this aspect and business exploded from that point.  Hundreds of instruments later, our focus is on OEM services for builders who can't or don't want to do it themselves. We are a solution for you so you can devote your time to making them rather than battling the inherent issues with paint. We know both sides of building and can help relieve the stress finishing adds to the complexity of creating a masterpiece.

I'm not a builder but I need a guitar painted!

Many guitarists and bassists like to build their own instruments from quality bodies and necks available at the growing amount of CNC shops out there. We don't want anyone to go without a professional finish on their instrument. Contact us and we can probably fit you in.

Refinishing Options

We are no longer accepting refinish work except for the following:

Vintage guitars needing restoration

Gibson Historic needing a fresh look

We have become far too busy with production that even these two exceptions will take a long time to turnaround. We cannot entertain anything else.
